Got to see the Mets v. Reds -- we (the Mets) won 10-4!!!!!
Got to see Pedro Martinez make his comeback debut -- 11 months after shoulder surgery he was back on the mound AND made MLB history when he had his 3,000th strikeout, making him the 15th pitcher in Major League Baseball history to do so.
Lainey-bug enjoyed the day. It was really hot. One day she will be able to say she was there when Pedro had his 3,000th strikeout and perhaps say she got to be at a game during the Mets 2007 season when the won the World Series for the first time since Mommy was a little girl in 1986!
We had a great time -- GO METS!
